Undressed!

I was in the store today and observed, for the millionth time, two fashion hideous trends and one hair option that we'll just describe as a 'peculiar decision'.  The first was a young man wearing boxer shorts with sweats pulled down totally BELOW his rear end.  You'd think he'd be worried they would fall off, but apparently not.  I've noticed that the wearers prevent the pants from falling, by walking with their legs spread about 6 feet apart.  Kind of the way you or I might walk if we'd been riding a horse for 3 years straight.  This trend cannot die soon enough for me and I have to wonder about the parents who let Jr. leave the house with his pants hanging down around his knees.  I've heard of 'picking your battles' but this is a battle I think I'd pick.
Evil trend #2 was seen on a woman who appeared to be in her 40's wearing pajama pants. My first thought was that she should be old enough to know better, but apparently not.  When? no, WHY did society decide that wearing underclothes or night clothes out in public was a good idea?  I couldn't even wear my pj's to the hospital when I went into labor in the middle of the night.  I didn't care if I was delivering that baby myself in the car, I was doing it with my regular clothes on.
Last I saw a woman who had her hair in old fashioned rollers.  I have seen this as many times as the next person and it makes me want to scream, "if you're willing to show yourself in public with your hair in rollers, then WHO ARE YOU CURLING YOUR HAIR FOR?"
I won't claim to be a fashion diva or even 'in the know' on the latest trends, but I'm not blind and I can certainly tell when "sumthin' just ain't right."

I must say your friend Jenn tends to violate one fashion "trend" quite often. I wear my fleece pj bottoms to walmart and fredmeyers alot. I really don't care what others think of me as I am comfortable and saved time not having to change my clothes just to impress other shoppers. :) Sorry I am one of those!!!!

I am completely with you on the behind hanging out. I especially admire those young men who can manage this style with jeans on! Maybe there should be fashion police... "Calling all squads we have a 40 year old female who thinks she is 13 here with booties a too-tight top...:)
