Chukar Cherry
MOM - feel free to skip this post; it's all about the dog :)
When you acquire a new pet, you usually get a fair amount of questions and we were no exception. So, here's the long and short of Chuck's story. On Saturday, while perusing Craigslist, Cory saw an ad for a 6 month old yellow lab named ChuNk. He had all his shots and was living in a home with two older dogs and two kids. While he's fairly calm for his age, he's still a puppy and he's busy, not to mention, he's nearly 70 pounds and he's still growing. We figured that might have had something to do with why the owners couldn't keep him. And if the reason is really because he had some bad habits, at 6 months of age, he's pretty re-trainable.
We wanted to give him a name that was similar to his given name, Chunk, so as not to confuse him when calling him. The closest thing we could come up with was Chuck, and since I like full names (usually reserved for pure bred dogs, and we don't know if he is or not) we agreed on Chukar Cherry, or Chuck for short! So, there you have it.

Yep. He's cute. It will be fun to meet him. The pictures are fun. We had a super nice day here, too.
He is awfully cute! I'm still intrigued by the name... are you familiar with the Chukar Cherry products from Prosser? Is that where you got the name? I love labs, they are SO much fun. I know you will enjoy him. (even if your mother does not!)
I AM familiar with Chukar Cherry products from Prosser. I can't eat cherries because I'm allergic to them, but I LOVE them.
