Zen?

On Thursday night the girls created Zen Gardens, well, actually Zen Beaches. They had a great time arranging the shells, rocks and "beach chairs" (candles from the Dollar Tree) around their gardens, while raking the sand with plastic rakes (forks).

Randomonium!

I think I'm a little stressed between CrewKID, VBS, hosting the Truth Project, co-op and homeschooling the girls because I dreamed last night that I was trapped in a maze and couldn't get out, then I lost my cell phone, and Autumn had a Dr.'s appointment where I could not recall the time, nor the place where I was to take her! In my waking life I don't feel stressed, but my subconscious apparently begs to differ! -------------------- Autumn has lost her 3rd tooth. Normally that wouldn't be blog worthy, but it happened in an unusual manner. On Friday afternoon she wanted to refill her water bottle, and while trying to open the top with her teeth, one of them was loosened and started to bleed. I wiggled the tooth and realized it was no where near ready to come out, and told her it would be a few more days. So on Saturday we were at the in-laws and Autumn was tormenting Cayla (nothing new there) by putting Cayla's stuffed bunny in her mouth and carrying it around. Cayla decided to exact revenge and grabbed the bunny, pulling so hard it subsequently took Autumn's tooth out with it. Viola! Another lost tooth, and another dollar in Autumn's piggy bank! -------------------- And just to be festive, an Irish thought by Daryl Stout: "Why should you never iron a 4-leaf clover? You don't want to press your luck."

St. Pat's

I don't really do much for St. Patrick's Day, but I do love any excuse to celebrate! Can't wait for Arbor Day :)

Blog ADD

All right, I promise to shut up about backgrounds, after this. I could not find the site my niece used, so I gave up. I liked the grass and tire swing because it reminded me of summer. And with the exception of a few minutes of sunshine this morning, it's been rain, rain, rain! Ugh! So, for a few days (or hours depending on my mood) enjoy the tire swing! And if you come back often and find a different background everytime you visit? Just chalk it up to my blog ADD :)

Background Issues AGAIN!

Yeah, still playing around with backgrounds. But I have to leave now, so you're stuck with these flowers, and the oddly placed header. I'm not very computer savvy, so it took quite a bit just to get these on here. I hope I can remember how to change them when I return from my outing today! Thanks for the tip Robyn, but clearly I don't have it mastered!

Chukar Cherry

MOM - feel free to skip this post; it's all about the dog :) When you acquire a new pet, you usually get a fair amount of questions and we were no exception. So, here's the long and short of Chuck's story. On Saturday, while perusing Craigslist, Cory saw an ad for a 6 month old yellow lab named ChuNk. He had all his shots and was living in a home with two older dogs and two kids. While he's fairly calm for his age, he's still a puppy and he's busy, not to mention, he's nearly 70 pounds and he's still growing. We figured that might have had something to do with why the owners couldn't keep him. And if the reason is really because he had some bad habits, at 6 months of age, he's pretty re-trainable. We wanted to give him a name that was similar to his given name, Chunk, so as not to confuse him when calling him. The closest thing we could come up with was Chuck, and since I like full names (usually reserved for pure bred dogs, and we don't know if he is or not) we agreed on Chukar Cherry, or Chuck for short! So, there you have it.
