Bittersweet

Well, today was the last day of VBS at my mom's church in Richland. It was a wonderful week and I loved getting to catch up with old friends, and see familiar faces that I haven't seen in years. It's so amazing to see everyone's spouses and children and take note of how much all the kids have grown. When VBS is over it's always a little bittersweet for me. I'm relieved that it's over, yet at the same time I'm a little sad that half a year's worth of effort, collecting decor, thinking over the theme and planning have come to an end. We put a lot of work into the week and it's incredibly tiring but also very rewarding.
